06th Oct Tues Reading Town 0-0 Shrivenham (Floodlit Cup,Won on penalties)

Post  RTFC Barmy Army on Mon Oct 05, 2009 4:43 am

The Reading boys are at home this Tuesday night against Shrivenham in the Floodlit Cup. Always seem to have interesting games against them last season beating them at Scours Lane 4-2 in the Berk & Bucks (thats when it snowed heavily, which saw some people become ice statues.) Then drew with them at their place 0-0 and different kind of conditions with a sticky pitch but this time the sun was out and lastly when the Town beat them 8-0 at Scours Lane, and two of their fans came in late asking what the score was, though they didn't believe the scoreline they were being told by BRAMLEY.

So what I am trying to say is I am looking forward to Tuesday!!!!

A game where both side had limited chances throughout the game. The Town were down to 10 men in the 2nd half when Brookys got sent off and did well to limit Shrivenham's chances with them going on the attack at times. The first two penalties were missed, but the Reading boys kept a cool head smashing the others into the back of the net and Chris Grace saved some of their penalties, to continue the Cup adventure.
