Won 3-0 A Parfitt 2, Ogeny Ewgee(ex youth player) This was a mixed team with 4 allied county boys and three triallist playing. Eversley looked to be without some of their start players including ex RTFC boy Kieron Thorne.

11th Sat Harrow Hill v Reading Town (Kick Off 3pm)

18th Sat Purton v Reading Town (12pm Kick Off)
Won 3-0 James Clark,Parfitt, Dave Mills
Three allied boys playing most of the game, Purton were decent and big pitch made for an open game. Purton keeper was man of the match in keeping the score down.

21st Tue Finchampstead v Reading Town (Cantley Park 6.30pm Kick Off)
1-1 Mark Hughes. Five triallists played with Towns 1st half team made Finch defend for most of the half. 2nd half Finch improved as triallists came on for Town and Finch got a well taken equaliser from a corner. Not the best display this pre season but still alot left in the tank.
Its seems we have unearthed a very good centre half. Recommended by Seph from Aston Uni. More details to follow

Thanks for the report Ass-Man, it's great to hear the boys are doing so well. I will be trying to get to Saturdays game, and if I do I will be videoing the game and also taking some match photos which I will publish on the website.

What is the venue for this Saturday's PSF against Hardwicke?

This is what is on the RTFC Official Site.

Pitch update
Following extensive irrigation work during the summer, the Scours Lane pitch has seen solid growth due to regular watering and decent sun. The pitch has been drill seeded and the new growth is coming along nicely. The two goalmouth have been seeded and top dressed and are not far away from having a full cover of grass.

The dressing rooms and referees rooms have been re-tiled by Stuart Hughes & Sons and the perimiter pitch walls have received a lick of paint over the summer.

The goalpost have been put up and nets will be in place for the first home friendly on Saturday 25th July vs Hardwicke.

HENCE THE QUESTION?

I haven't gone to the game today as the plane was delayed by two whole hours. Left the hotel at about 1am and got to the airport at around about 2am. The flight was meant to be at 4:45am then it got delayed until 6:45am......so a lot of hours of to kill which I didn't get any sleep. Eventually got back about 12:30pm!!!!

Will be going to the next pre-season games.
